Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of classical guidance services with Problem Based Learning (PBL) techniques in improving social interaction of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 7 Madiun. The method used in this study is a research on counseling guidance actions (PTBK) with two cycles where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subject of this study is class VII H which totals 32 students. The data was collected through the results of observations and interviews and then the data was analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of this study show that the implementation of classical guidance services with PBL techniques can significantly improve student social interaction. Students become more active in communicating, cooperating, and sharing information with peers. Thus, PBL techniques are effectively used in guidance services to overcome social interaction problems in the school environment.
