Penerapan konseling CBT dengan teknik thought stopping untuk mengurangi social anxiety terhadap rasialisme

Abstract
This research was conducted at SMPN 5 Madiun where one of the students SISI (Initials), a seventh grade student, experienced a case of social anxiety on racism. One of the problems that can be caused in socializing due to acculturation is the difference in language and dialect used which will make misperceptions make someone hurt and then social trauma (social anxiety). Social anxiety is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately, so that it is not sustainable in the negative impact caused. Therefore, it is necessary to handle modifications in thinking that will produce mature thinking, acting then making wise decisions. This can be done with a CBT (Cognitive Behavior Theraphy) approach with thought stopping techniques, which replace all negative thoughts into positive ones, reconstructing all negative aspects that will become toxic to themselves in thinking. The method applied in analyzing research data uses qualitative. In the initial condition, the counselor provides a social anxiety assessment where the results of the student's score reach 89 or in the high category. In cycle I there was a decrease to 75, while in cycle II it was 45. The resulting analysis can be concluded that there is a difference in the level of social anxiety between before and after action. In short, Cognitive Behavior Theraphy Individual Counseling with Thought Stopping Techniques can reduce social anxiety towards racism.
