Peran Guru TPA Dalam Mengatasi Tantangan Pembentukan Karakter Anak di Era Digital

Abstract

This study examines the role of educators at the Nurul Amin Quranic Education Park (TPA) located in Poncol Village, Poncol District, Magetan Regency, East Java, in shaping children's character in the digital era. Through direct observation, this study reveals the importance of ethical and moral education from an early age, which is implemented at TPA Nurul Amin through religious teaching, teachers' exemplary behavior, and various supporting activities. One of the main challenges faced is maintaining children's interest in learning amidst the overwhelming presence of gadgets and social media. Therefore, TPA Nurul Amin applies interactive and enjoyable teaching methods, including the incorporation of humor. The use of gadgets is strictly supervised, with parental control and consequences for negative behaviors imitated from digital media. Close collaboration with parents through regular meetings every three months is also a crucial aspect to ensure consistent character education between the home environment and TPA. The An-Nahdliyah method is applied in Quranic learning, involving rhythmic tapping that helps train children's discipline and attention. Success in character building is measured by the children's ability to memorize and recite Quranic verses, reflecting improvements in discipline, responsibility, and self-confidence.
