Abstract


Responsibility is an essential value in shaping a child’s character from an early age. One effective way to instill this value is by involving children in household chores. This article aims to examine how children’s participation in domestic tasks can serve as a medium for learning responsibility in everyday life. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review. The discussion shows that when children are actively involved in household tasks such as making their bed, helping with cooking, or cleaning the hous they learn the meaning of obligation, care for their environment, and the importance of cooperation within the family. Additionally, such involvement strengthens the child’s self-confidence and independence. Therefore, engaging children in household chores is not merely about assisting parents, but it is also a form of character education that plays a significant role in developing a responsible individual.
