Pentingnya Peran Orang Tua dan Guru Dalam Membangun Disiplin Siswa
Abstract
Discipline is the main foundation in building the character of individuals who are responsible, organized, and have an awareness of rights and obligations. Discipline is not only about compliance with rules, but also reflects the ability of self-control and regularity in action. The formation of a disciplined attitude ideally begins at an early age, both in the family environment and at school. The role of parents is very important as the first educators who shape children's character through role modeling, habituation, open communication, and balanced supervision and guidance. Democratic parenting is considered effective because it provides space for children to be responsible in a directed freedom. On the other hand, teachers also have a strategic role in instilling discipline through educational approaches, consistency in habituation, and being a good role model. Teachers function not only as teachers, but also as mentors, motivators, and classroom managers who create an orderly learning environment. Collaboration between parents and teachers is the key to successful discipline education, so that there is no conflict of values between home and school. This synergy is needed to support a comprehensive and sustainable character education in shaping a disciplined and responsible generation.
