Identifikasi Tumbuhan Paku (Pteridophyta) di Sekitar Air Terjun Srambang Park, Ngawi
Abstract
Ferns (Pteridophyta) are a group of vascular plants with spores that play an important role in ecosystems, both as ground cover, erosion prevention, and indicators of environmental conditions. The diversity of ferns in Indonesia is quite high, but studies in natural tourism areas such as Srambang Park Waterfall are still limited, so further research is needed. This study aims to identify fern species found around Srambang Park Waterfall, Ngawi, and describe their main morphological characteristics. The study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method through an exploratory survey using the exploration method. Data were collected through direct observation in the field by documenting the morphological characteristics of ferns and measuring environmental physicochemical parameters at three representative observation points. The results showed that in the Srambang Park Waterfall area, 10 species of ferns were found belonging to 8 families, with distribution in terrestrial and epiphytic habitats. These findings confirm that Srambang Park has important biodiversity to be preserved and demonstrate the potential of ferns as environmental bioindicators.
