Abstract


Biology Learning emphasizes a development of basic concepts of knowledge to be attributed to a natural reflection. The results of preliminary observations indicate that the practicum method has not shown scientific attitudes such as lack of discipline, data manipulation, not objective and less explorative, the process of disseminating the results is less, and the learning achievement is low. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of Small Research Project to improve student achievement and dissemination ability in Vertebrate Zoology. This classroom action research is conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle through planning, action, observation and reflection. The instrument uses tests and observation sheets to know the achievement and ability to disseminate the results of the lab. The results showed that student achievement increased from cycle I to cycle II as much as 15.79%. The ability to disseminate the results increased from cycle I and II by 31.64%. The conclusion of this class action research is the implementation of small research project learning method can improve student achievement and dissemination ability in Vertebrate Zoology
