Abstract

Ahmad Yani Street and Trikora Street are two protocol roads in the city of Banjarbaru which are traversed by many motorized vehicles every day. Glodogan (Polyalthia longifolia) is a type of plant that is widely grown in urban areas as a shade plant. Glodogan can absorb pollution elements from motor vehicle fumes, especially Pb, so it can be used as a way to monitor air pollution somewhere. This research was conducted to determine the content of the heavy metal lead in glodogan leaves on Ahmad Yani Street and Trikora Street. Glodogan leaf samples were taken by purposive sampling with a total of 18 samples taken (from 6 stations, then 3 samples were taken at each research station). Examination and analysis of Pb heavy metal samples in glodogan leaves (Polyalthia longifolia) was carried out at the Institution for Industrial Research and Standardization of Industry, Banjarbaru and the test results were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that the lowest Pb content in glodogan leaves was at Station 1 Murjani Volleyball Field, which was 11,431 mg / kg, while at Station 6 SMPN 14 Banjarbaru was the leaf sampling station with the highest Pb content of 21,417 mg / kg. Based on the results obtained, the Pb content in glodogan leaves on Trikora Street was higher than Ahmad Yani Street and all research stations gave Pb content that was above or exceeded the threshold value of Pb contamination on leaves required by the Indonesian National Standard 7387: 2009 of 0 , 5 mg / kg.
