Focus and Scope
SERASI: Proceedings of the International Seminar on Indonesian Language, Literature, and Culture focuses on the dissemination of scholarly works and research findings in the fields of Indonesian language, literature, culture, and related interdisciplinary studies. These proceedings aim to provide an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, practitioners, and cultural observers to exchange ideas, discuss current issues, and develop innovative perspectives regarding the dynamics of Indonesian linguistic, literary, and cultural studies in both national and global contexts.
The scope of SERASI includes, but is not limited to, studies on Indonesian language and linguistics, including language structure, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, language education, translation studies, and language preservation. Contributions related to the development of Indonesian language learning, digital literacy, multilingualism, and language policy are also welcomed.
In the field of literature studies, SERASI accommodates research on Indonesian literary works, literary criticism, literary theory, comparative literature, creative writing, oral literature, literary appreciation, and the relationship between literature and social, historical, political, and cultural phenomena. Studies exploring contemporary literary expressions, digital literature, and the transformation of literary forms in the modern era are particularly encouraged.
The proceedings also cover Indonesian cultural studies, including cultural heritage, local wisdom, traditional arts, cultural identity, folklore, performing arts, cultural communication, cultural anthropology, and the preservation and revitalization of Indonesian cultural values. Interdisciplinary studies connecting language, literature, and culture with education, technology, society, and globalization are highly encouraged.
SERASI welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical studies that contribute theoretically and practically to the advancement of Indonesian language, literature, and cultural studies. Through international academic collaboration, SERASI seeks to strengthen scholarly dialogue and promote Indonesian linguistic and cultural knowledge at the global level.

Peer Review Process
The SERASI International Seminar Proceedings implements a peer review process to ensure that each published manuscript meets academic standards, scientific quality, and relevance to the field of study within the seminar's scope. The review process is conducted objectively and independently, and aims to improve the quality of the substance, methodology, and presentation of articles before publication.
Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial review by the editorial team to ensure alignment with the proceedings' focus and scope, completeness of the writing format, and compliance with administrative requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial review stage will be sent to at least two reviewers with competencies and expertise relevant to the article's field of study. The review process uses a double-blind review method, where the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept anonymous to maintain objectivity.
Manuscripts are assessed based on several criteria, including topic suitability to the scope of the proceedings, novelty and scientific contribution, discussion of the use of research theories and methods, quality of analysis and discussion, clarity of presentation of research results, use of relevant references, and elaboration of scientific writing principles. Reviewers also provide recommendations regarding the suitability of the manuscript, such as acceptance without revision, acceptance with revision, or rejection.
The peer review process generally takes around 2–4 weeks, depending on the number of manuscripts received, the availability of reviewers, and the degree of need for revision. Authors are allowed to make improvements based on reviewer feedback before the final publication decision is made by the editor.
Reviewer selection is based on the principles of competence, academic experience, publication track record, and similarity in field of expertise to the topic of the manuscript being reviewed. Reviewers are expected to possess academic integrity, maintain manuscript confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and provide professional and constructive assessments. By implementing a transparent and high-quality peer review process, the SERASI International Seminar Proceedings are committed to maintaining academic standards and the credibility of scientific publications.
