Analisa UI/UX Pada Website OPAC Perpustakaan Kota Kediri Menggunakan Metode Heuristic Evaluation
Abstract
Digital transformation encourages libraries to provide efficient online services, one of which is through the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) system. However, the quality of the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) on OPAC are often not optimal. This study aims to evaluate the quality of UI and UX on the OPAC website of the Kediri City Library using a heuristic evaluation method based on the ten principles of Nielsen and Molich. The evaluation was carried out by involving participants who represented active users of library services. The results of the analysis showed various usability problems, such as lack of visibility of system status, limited user control, and visual design inconsistencies. Based on these findings, the interface was redesigned with a focus on improving aesthetics, functionality, and user satisfaction. The design aims to fix the existing weaknesses and create a better user experience. The conclusions of this study confirm that heuristic evaluation is effective in identifying usability problems and is the basis for relevant redesign. The implementation of the design results is expected to increase the effectiveness of information search and support the improvement of the quality of library digital services.
