PENGGABUNGAN METODE ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP) DAN SIMPLE ADDITIVE WEIGHTING (SAW) UNTUK SISTEM PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN PENERIMA BEASISWA

Abstract


The scholarship aims to ensure that students from underprivileged families can experience an education of the same quality as students who can afford it. In order to avoid providing scholarships that are not well targeted, a decision support system is needed that is able to provide advice in making decisions about scholarship recipients. This research combines two methods, namely Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). The AHP method is used for the process of weighting criteria according to importance and reducing subjectivity, while SAW is used to calculate the preference value for each alternative based on the weights that have been calculated using the previous AHP method.  Testing was carried out with 10 samples of student data and used 4 criteria. As a result of the AHP method, the largest weight is the report card score criterion with a weight value of 0.56, then the parent's income criterion with a weight value of 0.26, followed by the Home Ownership Status criterion with a weight value of 0.12, and finally the Distance to School criterion with a weight value of 0.06. And the final results with SAW obtained the best alternative, namely S8 with a value of 0.890332. By combining the AHP and SAW methods, the final result of selecting alternative scholarship recipients becomes more appropriate and on target.
