Peningkatan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar IPAS dengan Media Berbantuan Canva pada Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Banjarejo Kecamatan Taman Kota Madiun

Abstract


This study was prompted by the low motivation and learning outcomes in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Banjarejo, Taman District, Madiun City, where the initial mastery rate was only 33.33%. The research aimed to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes in IPAS through the use of Canva-assisted learning media. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) method was employed across two cycles—comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection—involving 24 fifth-grade students. Data collection instruments included observation sheets, motivation questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results indicate that the use of Canva media successfully enhanced student motivation and learning outcomes. The percentage of students demonstrating high learning motivation rose from 25% in the pre-cycle stage to 66.66% in Cycle I and 83.33% in Cycle II. Average learning outcomes improved from 65.41 to 80.00 in Cycle I and 90.20 in Cycle II, while the mastery rate increased from 25.00% to 63.33% and 83.33%, respectively
