Penerapan Pendekatan Kontekstual Berbantuan Komik Digital untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar IPAS

Abstract


Low motivation and academic achievement in science subjects at the elementary school level are often triggered by the lack of learning media innovations that are relevant to the characteristics of the digital generation. This study aims to address this challenge through a contextual approach combined with digital comic media. The method used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model of Kemmis and Taggart, which was implemented in two continuous cycles. The research subjects involved grade 5B students of SDN 01 Taman Kota Madiun. The results showed a significant transformation in student learning dynamics. The level of learning motivation increased drastically, from only 39% in the initial conditions to 86% at the end of the second cycle. A positive correlation was also seen in academic performance, where the percentage of learning completion reached 89% with an average score of 86. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the synergy between contextual learning methods and the use of digital media is able to create a more interactive, relevant, and effective learning environment. This innovation has been proven to be successful in stimulating active student involvement while improving the quality of overall learning outcomes in the science curriculum
