Pengaruh Leisure Boredom dan Tekanan Sosial terhadap Nomophobia pada Mahasiswa
Abstract
Abstract: Excessive smartphone dependency among university students gives rise to nomophobia, a condition of anxiety that arises when individuals cannot access their phones (Yildirim & Correia, 2015). This study aims to determine the influence of leisure boredom and social pressure on nomophobia among students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Universitas PGRI Madiun. The study applies a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population consists of 200 students, while a sample of 133 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula through a stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The results confirm that leisure boredom has a positive and significant effect on nomophobia. Social pressure also has a positive and significant effect on nomophobia. Both variables simultaneously affect nomophobia significantly, with a high contribution to the variance. The beta coefficient confirms social pressure as the most dominant factor compared to leisure boredom in influencing nomophobia among students
