Peningkatan karakter toleransi melalui layanan bimbingan klasikal metode project based learning pada siswa

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkat karakter toleransi melalui layanan bimbingan klasikal bagi siswa SMP. Karakter toleransi akan membantu siswa dalam menghargai perbedaan dan menciptakan kehidupan yang harmonis di masa depan. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PTBK) pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Tindakan yang diberikan berupa penerapan layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan metode project based learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 02 Kota Madiun dengan 29 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Penentuan subjek mengacu pada kriteria siswa yang mengalami permasalahan terkait karakter toleransi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan persentase yang signifikan karakter toleransi siswa. Hasil rata-rata pra-siklus sebesar 54%. Setelah proses layanan bimbingan klasikal, hasil rata-rata menunjukkan siklus I sebesar 69% dan siklus II 86%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan, layanan bimbingan kasikal dengan metode project based learning berhasil meningkatkan karakter toleransi siswa di SMPN 02 Kota Madiun.

Abstract
This research aims to improve tolerance character among junior high school students through classroom services in guidance and counseling. Tolerance character will help students appreciate differences and create a harmonious life in the future. The research method employed was Guidance and Counseling Action Research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The intervention consisted of applying classroom guidance services with the project-based learning method. The research was conducted at SMPN 02 Kota Madiun with 29 students as the research subjects. The selection of subjects was based on the criteria of students having problems related to tolerance character. The research results showed a significant increase in the percentage of students' tolerance character. The average pre-cycle score was 54%. After the classroom service process, the average scores showed 69% for cycle I and 86% for cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that classroom services in guidance and counseling with the project-based learning method were successful in improving tolerance  character among students at SMPN 02 Kota Madiun
