PENGARUH KAPABILITAS MANAJEMEN TERHADAP KINERJA PERUSAHAAN
Abstract
Kegagalan entitas seringkali disebabkan karena majemen yang gagal dalam mempertahankan kinerja keuangannya. Kinerja perusahaan dapat ditingkatkan tidak hanya melalui aset berwujud maupun aktivitas sosial. Aset tak berwujud lebih berperan meningkatkan firm performance dalam jangka panjang. Kasus manajemen Blackbery, Nokia, Kodak Corp., PT dan Nyonya meneer yang mengabaikan intangible asset berdampak pada lemahnya inovasi dan bangkrut karena tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pasar. Kasus-kasus tersebut membuktikan bahwa intangible asset merupakan sesuatu yang krusial untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan keberlanjutan bisnis. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi firm performance yang berfokus pada intangible asset, yaitu kapabilitas manajemen. Populasi riset adalah emiten sektor industri yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2021-2024. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Metode analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dengan alat SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapabilitas manajemen mampu meningkatkan firm performance. Hal ini sesuai dengan teori RBV yang menyatakan bahwa pengoptimalan intangible asset, seperti memiliki nilai output (pendapatan operasional melalui penjualan) serta nilai input beban (CoGS, PPE, SG&A, R&D, Lease) dapat meningkatkan kinerja. Investor dan kreditor dapat berinvestasi pada perusahaan yang memiliki manajemen yang kapabel karena firm performance akan meningkat.
