PENGARUH TATA KELOLA IKLIM DAN KOMITMEN PERUBAHAN IKLIM TERHADAP EMISI KARBON DENGAN MODERASI KEPEMILIKAN ASING
Abstract
This study examines the effect of climate governance and climate change commitment on carbon emissions and tests foreign ownership as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019–2025. The study uses a quantitative associative approach and secondary data from annual and sustainability reports. Using purposive sampling, the sample consists of 30 companies and 210 observations. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS. The results show that climate governance has a positive and significant effect on carbon emissions, while climate change commitment also has a positive and significant effect on carbon emissions. Foreign ownership does not moderate the relationship between climate governance and carbon emissions and does not moderate the relationship between climate change commitment and carbon emissions. These findings indicate that stronger climate governance and climate commitments are associated with better carbon-emission disclosure, while foreign ownership alone is insufficient to strengthen the relationships.
