PENERAPAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SD NEGERI 1 PADAS, BUNGKAL, PONOROGO

Abstract


This study aims to describe the implementation of character education at Padas Public Elementary School, Bungkal District, Ponorogo Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and school principals, and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that character education is implemented through various routine activities and positive habits, such as congregational Dhuha prayer, morning literacy programs, queuing culture, and Friday Cleanliness activities. Additionally, character values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and religiosity are integrated into the learning process in the classroom. Commemorations of Islamic holidays and flag ceremonies are also utilized as a means of strengthening student character. These findings indicate that character education at Padas Public Elementary School is effectively implemented through a contextual and participatory approach, involving the entire school community.
