Efektivitas video animasi edukatif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika di sekolah dasar: sebuah tinjauan teoritis

Abstract


This study is a theoretical review aimed at analyzing the effectiveness of using educational animated videos to improve elementary school students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The background of this review is based on students' difficulties in comprehending abstract mathematical concepts, often due to conventional teaching methods and lack of visual support. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review, findings reveal that animated videos can bridge abstract concepts into more concrete visual forms, increase student motivation and engagement, and support self-directed learning aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. However, the successful implementation of this media requires teacher readiness and sufficient infrastructure. The results of this review are expected to serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing innovative mathematics instruction tailored to the characteristics of elementary students.
