Penerapan Model PBL dengan Media Spinning Wheel untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPAS

Abstract


This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject of My Indonesia is Rich in Culture through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the Spinning Wheel media in grade IV students of SDN Jiwan 02 in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The background of the study is the low critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of students, as well as the dominance of teacher-centered learning models. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 16 grade IV students of SDN Jiwan 02. Data collection techniques include learning outcome tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the application of the PBL model with the Spinning Wheel media was able to improve learning outcomes in the IPAS material My Indonesia is Rich in Culture. In cycle I, the average learning outcomes increased from 63.5 to 73.7. In cycle II, the average learning outcomes reached 82.5, exceeding the Learning Objective Completion Criteria (KKTP) of 75. Thus, the application of the PBL model assisted by the Spinning Wheel media is effective in improving student learning outcomes on the material My Indonesia is Rich in Culture.
