Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Berbantuan Media Educaplay dalam Pembelajaran IPAS Kelas III Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


This study was motivated by observations at SDN Klagenserut 01, which showed low IPAS learning outcomes due to the dominance of lecture methods that made students passive and unmotivated. Out of 14 third-grade students, only half achieved the minimum passing criterion of 70. This study aims to describe the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by Educaplay media in improving students' understanding. The approach used was descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological study design. Data were collected through interviews and observations, then validated using source and technique triangulation. The results of the study showed that the application of TGT with Educaplay successfully created more active, enjoyable, and participatory learning. Students appeared enthusiastic about participating in discussions, interactive quizzes, and tournaments, which had a positive impact on their understanding of ecosystem concepts. Additionally, this model also developed social skills, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility among students. However, the study identified some challenges, such as time constraints and differences in digital proficiency. Despite this, these obstacles can be overcome through intensive guidance and adjustments to the activity flow. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for planning more innovative and effective learning experiences.
