Pengembangan E-Book Berbasis Problem Based Learning Materi Sistem Pernapasan untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

Abstract


Critical thinking skills are high-level thinking activities, including activities of analyzing, synthesizing, recognizing problems and solutions, concluding and evaluating. Critical thinking skills are abilities that are very necessary for a person to be able to face various problems faced in social and personal activities. This research aims to develop E-Book teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning which are able to improve critical thinking skills on respiratory system material. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. This research was carried out from November to July 2024. The objects of this research were 32 students of SMA Negeri 1 Cilograng class XI-1. The field trial was carried out as a limited trial using a one group pre-test post-test design. The research results showed that: 1) The final media expert validation results were 96% and the final material expert validation test was 92% with the valid category; 2) The use of E-books received a good response in the student learning process with a percentage of 88.87% with very good criteria; 3) The use of e-books effectively helps teachers in the learning process by getting a percentage of 91.42% in the very good category; 4) E-book teaching materials are quite effective in the process of learning respiratory system material with a value of 0,305 in the moderate and quite effective category.
