Abstract

Green beans (Phaseolusradiatus) are relatively easy to plant because they are not dependent on a particular climate. Growth regulators are non-nutrient organic compounds at low concentrations that may encourage, inhibit or qualitatively alter the growth and development of plants. Plant growth regulators applied to plants are natural and synthetic. Natural growth regulator substances obtained from young tissue plants such as young coconut water, green bean sprout extract (touge), banana extract and other banana extract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of soaking concentration using banana extract of banana and coconut water on the growth of green beans (Phaseolusradiatus). This research is an experimental research using Group Random Design (RAK) with two factors, factor 1 is the type of natural ZPT (A1 = banana extract of banana and A2 = coconut water) and factor 2 is the immersion concentration (B0 = 0% concentration, B1 = concentration 25%, B2 = 50% concentration, B3 = 75% concentration, and B4 = 100% concentration) with 10 treatments and 5 replications. The parameters used were plant height, leaf number, wet weight and dry weight. Analyze data using two-way ANAVA and LSD test to know between treatments. The results showed that soaking of banana extracts of banana and coconut water was best demonstrated by the growth of green beans using a 75% coconut water immersion (A2B3).
