PENGARUH PORTOFOLIO UNTUK MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN METAKOGNISI SISWA PADA MATERI ORGANISASI KEHIDUPAN DI SMPN 2 SAWAHAN

Abstract


Metacognition ability is the ability of a person in doing the thinking process, so that when the learning process takes place then reflected in student learning activities. One to develop students' metacognition ability is to use a portfolio. Portfolio which is the work of a student, as the implementation of performance tasks determined by the teacher, with the teacher to achieve the learning objectives. This study aims to determine the effect of the portfolio to develop students' metacognition skills on organizational life materials in SMPN 2 Sawahan. This research is in the form of quantitative research and using experimental method of Intact-Group Comparison with control class that is class VII A amounted to 24 students are taught by lecture method and experimental class that is class VII C amounted to 24 students by using portfolio. Data collection techniques use learning outcomes and metacognition ability questionnaires. Data analysis technique using Independent Sample T-Test Test using SPSS version 16. The result of research with α = 5% shows that t count> t table (5,051> 2,3139) and P value (0,000 <0,05) hence Ho is rejected And Ha accepted, thus proving that there is a portfolio influence to improve students' metacognition ability
