PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN ARGUMENTASI SISWA MELALUI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM POSING DI SMP PAWYATAN DAHA 1 KELAS VII A

Abstract


Based on the results of observation in the Integrated IPA in teaching learning at SMP Pawyatan Daha 1 especially VII-A class has difficulty in absorbing the lessons, so that the learning process has not been optimal yet. This is proved by some weaknesses that has been found on studenst.  Students are less active to convey their opinions while discussing, the lack of the students’ courage for asking to friends or teachers, lack of the students’ awareness  to understand the subject matter independently, less of reading in learning the integrated IPA. To overcome the problems has been applied learning Problem Posing model. The purpose of this research is to improve the argumentation ability.

            The method was used in the research is class action Research (PTK) Kurt Lewin model which subjects of this research was seventh grade students especially VII-A class of SMP PawyatanDaha 1 Kediri The research was carried out by two cycles, the research instrument used observation sheets of teacher’s activities, Toulmin argumentation ability evaluation problem (Data, Claim, Warrant, qualification, Disclaimer). The results of this research showed the ability of student's argument on the cycle I was dominanted in the low category which is about 43%. While cycle II was increased 2% in the low category, and the middle category is 50 % dominantly
