Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Augemented Reality Dalam Visualisasi 3D Penyakit Tanaman Kacang Hijau Sebagai Media Edukasi Interaktif

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to design and develop an Augmented Reality (AR) application for three-dimensional (3D) visualization of mung bean plant diseases as an interactive educational medium that can help the public understand various types of plant diseases more easily, attractively, and informatively. The development of this application was motivated by the fact that educational media currently used are still limited to books, images, and verbal explanations, which are less effective in providing clear visualizations of the forms, symptoms, and treatments of mung bean plant diseases. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The application was developed using Unity 3D, Vuforia SDK, and Blender, and is operated on Android-based devices. The materials presented include leaf spot disease, powdery mildew, Fusarium wilt, leaf rust, root rot, and mosaic virus, which are visualized as 3D objects in real time through AR technology. In addition, the application is equipped with features such as learning materials, treatment information, plant benefits, AR scanning, evaluation, and profile. The results of the study indicate that the developed application is capable of displaying 3D objects of mung bean plant diseases effectively, and all features function according to user requirements based on Black Box Testing. The application also provides a more interactive, engaging, and easily understandable learning experience. Users can independently access information through smartphones, making the learning process more flexible and efficient. The conclusion of this study shows that the developed Augmented Reality application is feasible to be used as an interactive educational medium and is capable of improving public understanding of mung bean plant diseases through 3D visualization that is more effective than conventional learning media, supporting the dissemination of agricultural information, and enhancing the quality of learning for users.
