Peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Dan Sosial (IPAS) melalui penerapan pendekatan kontekstual pada siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Klegen Kota Madiun

Abstract


This study aimed to improve students’ learning activeness and learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 28 fourth-grade students of SDN 01 Klegen, Madiun City. Data were collected through observation sheets to measure learning activeness and achievement tests to assess students’ learning outcomes. The results showed a significant improvement in both learning activeness and learning outcomes. Students’ learning activeness increased from 66.55% in the pre-cycle to 72.07% in Cycle I and further increased to 82.41% in Cycle II. All indicators of learning activeness in Cycle II met the predetermined success criteria. Students’ learning outcomes also improved, with the class average score increasing from 63.75 in the pre-cycle to 71.61 in Cycle I and reaching 83.21 in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving mastery learning increased from 39.29% in the pre-cycle to 60.71% in Cycle I and reached 100% in Cycle II
