Peningkatan Kemampuan Mengenal Simbol Keislaman Melalui APE Masjid Unik Pada Siswa TK Al Kautsar Bakti 2

Abstract


This study discusses the critical need for effective Islamic religious education in early childhood, with a focus on recognizing Islamic symbols as a fundamental aspect of character and spiritual development. The problem investigated is the low ability of early childhood students to recognize Islamic symbols, which stems from conventional teaching methods that are uninteresting and a lack of innovative educational media. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, conducted in two cycles, to develop and test the effectiveness of a unique mosque-themed Educational Play Tool (EPT). The hypothesis states that implementing this ETP will significantly improve students' ability to recognize Islamic symbols. Findings from the two cycles show an increase in students' recognition of Islamic symbols, with the average percentage increasing from 38% in the pre-cycle to 61% in Cycle I, and further to 89% in Cycle II. The EPE proved effective in making learning interactive, enjoyable, and concrete, enabling students to better recognize prayer movements, Hijaiyah letters, patterns, and mosque-related creations. This research contributes to the field of early childhood Islamic education by offering a proven and innovative pedagogical model that utilizes game-based learning to promote cognitive, motor, social-emotional, and religious development
