IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CHAINING FORWARD METHOD INTO EXPERT SYSTEM TO DETERMINE THE CHILDBIRTH PROCESS FOR PREGNANT WOMAN

Abstract

One of the factors that influence the high maternal mortality rate is the lack of knowledge of pregnant women about the choice of labor. Even though each labor selection has an indication of each that must be consulted with experts, before finally choosing the delivery. For this reason, in order to facilitate and assist pregnant women in knowing the initial diagnosis of labor, there must be a system that can help process the expertise of a labor specialist. The development of this research uses the forward chaining method with the waterfall method as the research model. The development of this system uses the PHP programming language and MySQL database. Based on a questionnaire that was completed by 2 respondents showed the results that the expert system as a determinant of the birth process for pregnant women received a positive response of 95% so it can be concluded that this system works well so that it is feasible to apply.
