Abstract


White oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is one type of wood fungus that is commonly consumed as food because it tastes good and has good nutritional content. The main nutrients needed by white oyster mushrooms include carbohydrates (cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin), proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins. This study aims to determine the most effective oyster mushroom growing media to increase the productivity of oyster mushrooms as a cultivation commodity. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 repetitions. This research was conducted for 2 months. The treatment applied in this study was the addition of corncob powder and coconut fiber powder. The parameters to be studied are measurements of wet weight and diameter of white oyster mushroom hoods. The results showed the best results were found in the planting medium with the addition of 40% coconut fiber powder with a wet weight of 115.25 kg and a hood diameter of 9.750 cm. Whereas the lowest wet weight yield was found in 50% treatment with 74.25 g wet weight of corncob while the lowest diameter of the hood was in the control treatment with 88% composition of sengon wood powder with a hood diameter of 7,812 cm
