Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the comparative learning outcomes of biological education students using the Level of Inquiry learning model (Discovery Learning, Interactive Demonstration, Inquiry Leeson) in the Teaching and Education Faculty of Samawa Sumbawa Besar University. This type of research is quantitative research using the Quasi Experiment approach. Biology education students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Samawa University are the population in this study while the research sample taken three classes as an experimental class taught with the Level of Inquiry learning model. Data collection techniques were carried out using the test results of learning outcomes using the Essay test that had been tested for Validity and Reliability of test questions. Analysis of the data used during the study was descriptive analysis, percentage techniques and prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity and One Way Anova test using SPSS 16.0 for windows to determine whether or not there was a significant difference in the average between each experimental class. The learning outcomes of the experimental class I students are taught with the Discovery Learning  model obtaining an average score of 81 with the highest score of 93 and the lowest value of 70. Learning outcomes The experimental class II students are taught with the Interactive Demonstration learning model obtaining an average score of 79 with the highest score of 90 and lowest score 67. Student learning outcomes of experimental class III taught with Inquiry Lesson learning model obtain an average score of 83 with the highest score of 93 and the lowest score of 63. The experimental class III has the highest average learning outcomes than the two experimental classes. The experimental class two is lower than the experimental classes one and three. Based on the results of hypothesis analysis shows that the output of One Way ANOVA Test student learning outcomes obtained t count = 0.561 then consulted with 0.05 sig level, because thitung> sig (0.561> 0.05) then it can be concluded there is no significant difference in results study S1 Students of Biology Education Study Program at Samawa Sumbawa Besar University use Level Of Inquiry learning model. This shows that the comparison of student learning outcomes by applying the Level Of Inquiry learning model has no significant impact seen from the average student learning outcomes.
