IDENTIFIKASI JENIS - JENIS LICHENES SEBAGAI BIOINDIKATOR PENCEMARAN UDARA DI KOTA MAGETAN

Abstract

This study aims to Identify the diversity of Lichenes species used as air pollution bioindicator in Magetan city.This research was conducted in March-August 2017, the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Sources of data were obtained from observations of Lichenes species located in 3 areas of Magetan city in the category of crowded, medium and low traffic density. Identification is based on morphological features including the shape, type, color and size of the lichenes.The results of this study were found in the crowded areas of traffic, the area was traffic and the lonely area was found 3 types of lichen based on the type of thallus species found are crustose, squamulose and foliose. While based on the type found 10 species that have been identified. Lichen that has potential as a sensitive bioindicator that can be found in areas with low or lonely air pollution levels are Parmelia flaventior, Punctelia borreri, Lepraria lobificans, Candelariella spraguei, Parmotrema perlatum, Phaeophysciaorbicularis, Partusaria hymenea. The level of traffic density can determine the lichen diversity found. The lower the traffic density, the higher the variety of lichen species found in a location
