Abstract

Water waste chicken laundry and fish laundry contains many organic substances, especially proteins that will become the growth of microorganisms, one of which is proteolytic bacteria. Proteolytic bacteria are bacteria capable of degrading proteins, because they produce extracellular protease enzymes. The purpose of this research is to know the type of bacteria, morphological structure, potency and module of proteolytic bacteria in waste water of chicken laundry and fish. This research includes qualitative research, using a qualitative descriptive approach that refers to the description of isolation and characterization of proteolytic bacteria. Sample waste water waste chicken and fish laundry was grown on Skim Milk Agar (SMA) medium then macroscopic and microscopic characterization as well as measuring the potential of proteolytic bacteria seen from the clear zone around the colony. The isolation and characterization of proteolytic bacteria have different morphological and genus differences. Sample wastewater waste chicken chicken there are 5 isolates of bacteria belonging to genus Bacillus, Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus. While in fish laundry there are 4 bacterial isolates included in genus Bacillus and Pseudomonas. The potential of proteolytic bacteria from both samples contained 6 isolates and resulted in clear zones all of which means that if all bacteria were able to isolate protease enzymes, the coded PP isolates were the highest proteolytic index values of 2 mm. The result of validation of proteolytic bacteria module showed that the average of 89,5% appraisal was in the category worth using without revision
