UJI DAYA HAMBAT KOMBINASI EKSTRAK KULIT PISANG AGUNG SEMERU (Musa paradisiaca L.) DAN PISANG MAS KIRANA (Musa acuminata L.) TERHADAP Candida albicans

Abstract

Banana peelof Mas Kirana and Banana Agung Semeru are suspected to contain antimicrobial compounds that can be used to inhibit the growth of Candida albicans. Candida albicans is one of the pathogenic fungi that can cause opportunistic infections. The purpose of the reseach was to know minimal inhibitory concentration from a combination of Agung Semeru banana peel extract (Musaparadisiaca L.) and Mas Kirana banana (Musa acuminata L.) to Candida albicans. This  reseach is an experimental design with conducted in vitro using dilution method with concentration variations of Banana peel extract (20.000 ppm, 40.000 ppm, 60.000 ppm dan 80.000 ppm) with a ratio of 1: 1 and performed repetition 5 times. The Data were analyzed using Kruskall-Wallis test and continued with Duncan's test at 1% confidence level.The results showed that there was significant difference between treatment group (α = 0,001) with P3K4 treatment (11,8000 ± 0,11180) showed better result. The combination of AgungSemeru banana peel extract (Musa paradisiacaL.) And Kirana banana peel extract (Musa acuminataL.) Can inhibit the growth of Candida albicans
