Abstract


Propagation of rubber tree (HeveabrasiliensisMuellArg) these days are mainly use the conventional method i.e. grafting.Constraints of conventional seed procurement conventionally is difficult to obtain quality seeds with a short time with low export value of rubber in Indonesia continues to decline as world demand for natural rubber is likely to rise from year to year.Propagation technology with tissue culture techniques can open up opportunities for the acquisition of quality seeds.This study aims to determine the formation of callus by comparison of ZPT (BAP and NAA) on WPM media on young leaf explantsrubber plant.The design of the research is  Quasi Experimental by using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial one factor concentration ratio of NAA and BAP concentrations were performed in vitro.The material used in the study of young rubber plant leaves and WPM medium with concentration of BAP used 1.5 mg / L, 2 mg / L, 2.5 mg / L and NAA with concentration used 0,05mg / L, 0, 1 mg / L, 0.2 mg / L.Observation parameters include color and first callus appearance for 21 days.Test results analysis using the Kruskal Wallis test and Duncan test.Treatment capable of responding to callus growth was P2 treatment (BAP 2 mg / l & NAA 0.1 mg / l)
