Abstract

Vegetable waste is a type of waste that is in large quantities and thrown away by the market community.  Vegetable  waste  is  much  wasted  and  pollute  the  environment,  whereas  if managed properly will produce the organic fertilizer needed by the plant. The purpose of this research  is  to  know  the  result  of  characterization  of  bio-organic  fertilizer  made  from vegetable waste which is adjusted with SNI-2011. This research use descriptive research design,  research  data  obtained  from  descriptive  observation  and  result  of  laboratory analysis. The results of this study adjusted to 11 standardizing organic fertilizer i.e. the ratio of C / N, C-organic material by-products, water content, pH, heavy metals, macro nutrients (N, P, K), microbial contaminants (E coli and Salmonella sp), functional microbes (N and N solvent), and micro nutrients. The result of this study showed that the vegetable waste had some characterization which is adjusted to SNI – 2011, i e : The C/N ratio, pH, material by product, heavy metal, microbial contaminans (E. coli) and functional microbes ( N and P solvent). But The water content and Macro nutrients in organic fertilizer from vegetable waste was not adjust to the SNI – 2011
