Abstract


This research aims to know the implementation of SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) method with Scientific Inquiry approach to increase the achievement and scientific attitude’s students of class XD of SMA Negeri 1 Wungu. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) done in two cycles which consists of 4 stages such as Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The subjects of this research are 20 students of class XD of SMA Negeri 1 Wungu. The data are obtained through the students’ achievement and scientific attitude. The instruments of collecting data are observation sheet and the result of students’ evaluation test. The indicator success of students’ achievement and scientific attitude of this research is the achievement of classical thoroughness in amount of 80%. Based on the result of this research, it is obtained that (1) the implementation of SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) method with Scientific Inquiry approach can increase the students’ achievement from the mean score 74 in cycle 1 is increased to 82,95 in cycle 2. The students’ classical thoroughness in cycle 1 is 40% and be increased to 80% in cycle 2. (2) the implementation of SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) method with Scientific Inquiry approach can increase the students’ scientific attitude with the classical thoroughness in cycle 1 85% become 95% in cycle 2
