Abstract


Learning in schools so far still tends to emphasize on cognitive assessment alone, students have not been trained to recognize the potential of self that is on the ability metakognition. This study aims to develop a biology module based on metacognition, especially the material of Bryophyta. Knowing the types of Bryophyta in the waterfall grojogansewukaranganyar.Bryophyta's research as a module compiler includes qualitative descriptive research. Sampling using the roaming method by walking the entrance and exit of counters 1 and 2 in GrojoganSewuKaranganyar Waterfall area. The samples of the species obtained were identified by their morphological characteristics, as well as documenting the species found in their habitat. Research results found 9 Bryophyta species. Species found in the 4 species of the Marchantiales Order, 1 species of the Order of Anthocerotales, 2 species of the Order of the Jungermanniales, and 2 species of the Order of Bryales. Furthermore, it is compiled as a Biology Module on Bryophyta-based Metacognition Material, which obtains a 90.63% validation result that is suitable for use in the school.
