Abstract

Albumin is the most common plasma protein found in the human body, which is around 55-60%, with normal serum protein levels of 3.8-5.0 g/dl. Malnutrition (malnutrition) can occur if the body lacks energy or protein. Tuberculosis sufferers can experience hypoalbumin and malnutrition. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the percentage of albumin levels on malnutrition in tuberculosis patients. The research method used is descriptive method, which is to look at the percentage of albumin in tuberculosis patients who experience poor nutrition. The results obtained were 35 patients with tuberculosis had a low percentage of albumin levels and there was a link between the percentage level of low albumin levels with poor nutritional status in those tuberculosis patients.
