Peran Konselor dalam identifikasi masalah dan kebutuhan siswa underachiever

Abstract


Siswa underachier sejatinya adalah siswa berbakat atau memilki potensi lebih, namun mereka mengalami sebuah masalah sehinga mereka tidak bisa menunjukan prestasinya. Telah banyak kajian yang berusaha melakukan identifikasi permasalahan underachiever, namun belum sepenuhnya memperjelas fenomena tersebut. Sehingga perlu dilakukan identifikasi lebih lanjut, kususnya didunia pendidikan. Identifikasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui apa sebenarnya yang menyebabkan siswa underachiever bermasalah dan apa yang mereka butuhkan. Hasil need assessment ini, diharapkan dapat dipakai oleh pelaku pendidikan agar bisa mengoptimalkan potensi yang dimiliki oleh siswa underachiever. Konselor sudah jelas, seharusnya bisa terlibat dalam masalah ini. Konselor sosok yang mampu memahami karakteristik dari peserta didik untuk bisa membantu mereka dalam mencapai tugas perkembangannya. Tanpa mengecualikan siswa underachiever maupun jenjang sekolah mereka. Lower students are actually gifted students or have greater potential, but they experience problems that they cannot demonstrate. There have been many who have identified underachiever problems, but have not fully clarified the phenomenon. Need to be done further, specifically in the education world. Identification is done to find out what students underachiever do and what they ask. The results need this assessment, it is expected that it can be used by education actors who can produce potential possessed by underachiever students. The counselor is clear, able to be involved in this problem. Counselors who are able to understand the characteristics of participants to be able to help them in achieving their tasks. Without excluding underachiever students and their school level.
