Abstract


Abstract This study aims to examine: a) the effect of workload on employee performance, b) the influence of workload on work stress, c) the influence of work stress on employee performance, d) the influence of workload on employee performance through work stress as a variable. intervention. By using the Non Probability Sampling technique and the sampling technique used is saturated sampling in which the entire population is used as the research sample. So the researchers used the entire population, which amounted to 45 employees. Collecting data using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used path analysis through SPSS 25 software. The results showed that: a) Workload (X) had a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance (Y) at the BAPENDA office in Madiun Regency, b) Workload (X) had an effect on positively and significantly to work stress(Z) at the office of BAPENDA Madiun regency, c) work stress (Z) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y) at the office of BAPENDA Madiun regency, d) workload (X) has an significantly on Employee Performance (Y) through Work Stress (Z) as an intervening variable at the office of BAPENDA Madiun Regency.
