Abstract


Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine how the effect of compensation and career development toward job satisfaction with work motivation as an intervening variable for non-permanent teachers at Public Senior High Schools in Ngawi Regency. This research is a quantitative with sampling technique using nonprobability sampling with saturated sample method. Respondents in this study amounted to 104 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire via google form. Data analysis used instrument test, classical assumption test, hypothesis test, path analysis, and mediation sobel-test with the IBM SPSS 21 program. Based on the results of the (t) test, compensation has no effect towards job satisfaction of nonpermanent teachers at Public Senior High Schools in Ngawi Regency with a t count < t table, while for career development and work motivation it had an effect toward job satisfaction with a t count > t table. The path analysis test shows that compensation has no effect towards job satisfaction through work motivation, while career development has an effect towards job satisfaction for non-permanent teachers at Public Senior High Schools in Ngawi Regency through work motivation. The results of the Sobel-test shows that work motivation can mediate the variables of compensation and career development towards the job satisfaction of nonpermanent teachers at Public Senior High Schools in Ngawi Regency.
