PENGARUH EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE TERHADAP KINERJA DEBT COLLECTOR PADA BANK PERKREDITAN RAKYAT DI KABUPATEN MADIUN

Abstract


A debt collector must have emotional intelligence so that the message to be conveyed to the debtor runs effectively. Next, it can be easily understood, hit and finally the goal of paying off arrears by the debtor can be achieved. This study aims to empirically prove the effect of self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, social awareness, and social skills on debt collector performance on Rural Credit Bank (BPR) in Madiun Regency.

The method used in this study is an associative method with a form of causal relations. The population in this study were all debt collectors in the Rural Credit Bank (BPR) in Madiun Regency, which amounted to 90 people. Determination of the number of samples using the census method or with saturated sampling techniques. In this study, the sampling technique uses the Non Probability Sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had tested its validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques using the classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using the t test and F test.

The results of the study prove that: (1) Self-awareness influences the performance of debt collectors at Rural Credit Bank(BPR) in Madiun Regency; (2) Self-regulation affects the performance of debt collectors at Rural Credit Banks (BPRs) in Madiun Regency; (3) Self-motivation influences the performance of debt collectors at the Rural Credit Bank (BPR) in Madiun Regency; (4) Social awareness influences the performance of debt collectors in Rural Credit Banks (BPR) in Madiun Regency; (5) Social skills affect the performance of debt collectors at the Rural Credit Bank (BPR) in Madiun Regency; (6) Self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, social awareness, and social skills simultaneously influence the performance of debt collectors at the Rural Credit Bank ( BPR) in Madiun Regency.
