Abstract


This research is the development of textbook writing poetry based potential that refers to the model of the stages of Borg and Gall. These stages consist of ten stages of development, the stage of research and gathering initial information, the planning stage, the stage of development of the format of initial production, the initial testing phase, the stage of product revision, the stage of field trials, the stage of product revision, the stage of field testing, stage product revision end, and the dissemination and implementation. In this study only reached the stage of revision of the final product without including the dissemination and implementation phase due to time constraints of the study. In general, this study aims to explain the process development, quality, implementation, and effectiveness of textbook writing poetry-based potential. While the subject of this research is class VIII SMP N 1 Mantingan Ngawi learning year 2014/2015. The development process begins with early trials tested are limited to seven students of class VIII student generated questionnaire, interview teachers, and the observation of observers. From the results of the field trials, resulting scores for students in writing poetry average value of 80. The quality of textbooks students to write poetry with self-potential-based popularity ratings validator mentions that the textbooks are included in the category of quality because the percentage is ≥ 61%. Validation textbooks rated language validators and validators book layout. Implementation of textbook writing poetry with a potential form of activity-based learning students, who are divided into three, namely observation, interviews with teachers, and the student questionnaire. The results of the interview, there are some discoveries that the language used is quite attractive, color display suitable and appropriate materials and support competencies taught. Based on questionnaire data the students that learning to write poetry based on their potential is successful because the majority of students a positive attitude with regard to the learning process and textbook writing poetry. Effectiveness textbook developed in this study was measured through four indicators, namely (1) adherence to RPP, (2) the activity of students in the Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM), (3) the response of students to learning, and (4) complete learn student before use textbooks and student learning outcomes after using textbook writing poetry based on their potential. Based on the four indicators of the effectiveness of the development of textbook writing poetry based on their potential, we can conclude that the textbook writing poetry with self-potential-based effective when applied to learning to write poetry.
